PHP is really easy to get started, but it's also really easy to make some simple mistakes. In this session I'll go over the basics of PHP security and coding best practices to make sure that you're setting yourself up for success and reducing the risk of having your site compromised.
Alex Faber is an undergrad in his third year at the University of Wisconsin - Madison studying Computer Engineering and Computer Science. Frustrated with his curriculum, he decided to take it upon himself to learn about web development, and began front-end web developing two years ago. Recently, he entered the world of back-end web development with PHP, and is very excited to become relevant to the development community.
